Reserve a supported area beside the person using it. Keep it separate from chopping, hot pans and equipment.
Check the surface
Picnic tables can have gaps and folding tables can sag. The full base needs level support.
Keep access open
Avoid the route between tents, chairs and the cooking area. Move the drink when the camp layout changes.
